At Wonderflow, we believe that our team members are at the heart of our success. In this edition of our Employee Spotlight, we’re excited to feature Federico Di Blasi, our dedicated Operations Specialist.

Born in the picturesque seaside town of Genova, Italy, Federico made a bold move to London to embrace new adventures and opportunities, which has shaped both his personal and professional journey. With a passion for delivering excellence and a knack for problem-solving, Federico plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our global clients receive top-notch service.

Join us as we explore his story, insights, and the unique contributions he makes to our team and our clients.

Tell us a bit about yourself and something not many know.

I was born in Genova, a seaside town in northern Italy, and lived and studied here until the end of University when I decided to make a big change in my life and move to London without knowing anyone or having a job. It was one of the best and toughest experiences of my life. I had a lot of fun, learned so much, and ended up staying for six years, but I’m back in Italy now.

In my free time, I love watching movies and TV shows [watching The Boys & Only Murders in the Building at the moment], hiking along the coast, and, of course, traveling around the world whenever I get the chance!

What’s a favorite childhood memory you have?

I think, generally, it would be spending time with my family and doing fun things together—traveling, hiking, and days at the beach. Growing up, you really get to appreciate those moments even more as unique times in life.

Tell us about your favorite work-related memory with colleagues.

Some of my favorite memories are from when we used to do team activities, like scavenger hunts in Trento, work quizzes, or the company retreat to Rome. It's always great to get together.

What does an Operations Specialist do? How does your role impact the success of our teams and customers?

As an Operations Specialist, I work closely with some of our biggest global clients, such as Philips and Versuni, ensuring that their needs are met through efficient operations and processes. My key responsibilities involve managing a large volume of spreadsheet work, creating what the clients see via our product dashboard every month, and planning the entire project schedule.

I also respond to customer requests or investigate what goes wrong and work in close contact with the Developer team. Most of what I do is not known or in the spotlight, but a lot is going on to ensure the deliveries run smoothly. These efforts directly impact our success by providing clear consumer insights and ensuring that our customers and teammates have the structure and resources they need.

"Working with Federico is like having Sherlock Holmes on speed dial—he's my go-to guy for solving every Philips PH and Versuni operations mystery with quick, sharp investigations and solutions."

- Michael Morkly, Head of Project Management at Wonderflow

What career tip can you give someone starting out in a similar field?

I would say one key tip for anyone starting out in Operations is to develop strong problem-solving skills. In this role, you'll often be faced with unexpected challenges, and being able to think critically and adapt quickly is essential.

Also, focus on learning the systems and processes inside and out. The better you understand how things work, the more effectively you can find opportunities for improvement and streamline operations. Lastly, don’t underestimate the value of clear communication—it ensures that everything runs smoothly across teams.

What’s a good book you can’t put down and would recommend?

Although I love crime stories (and podcasts), one of my favorite books is “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt. My tutor gave it to me as a present during my first internship after university.

"Federico is always available to support on the working side but also on morale; he always has funny stories to tell and lighten up the mood when the team feels a little low. "

- Anna Maria Ferrari, Project Manager at Wonderflow

Which of our company core values do you embody the most, and how do you ensure that your work aligns with it (Integrity, Excellence, Team, and Think Big)?

I believe the core value I embody the most is Excellence. In my role as an Operations Specialist, I strive to consistently deliver high-quality work by focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement.

I ensure that my work aligns with this value by maintaining attention to detail, optimizing processes, and always seeking ways to improve both individual and team performance. I set high standards for myself and my team because I know that excellence is essential to achieving long-term success and delivering outstanding results for a company.

Thank you, Federico, for your hard work and dedication, and stay tuned for more Employee Spotlights as we continue to highlight the remarkable individuals who make Wonderflow thrive!
